Ok so I have done a horrible job posting here; however, this weekend was pretty amazing. I figured here would be a good place to add some details. Chuck and I left Saturday morning and headed out toward Chicago (via St. Louis). We arrived in St. Louis in time for lunch at the Spaghetti Factory, one of my very favorite restaurants. We gassed up the car and hit the road again. After a very long drive, a few small detours, and some not always perfect directions thanks to my Snoop Doggy Dog GPS we finally arrived at the hotel around 9. We got ready quickly and headed to the theater. We had tickets for both the early and late show, but promptly got in line to meet Pat and Barry. They took a break, but I was first in line for the second session. When they returned I had a photo taken with each of them and got both of their autographs on my Rocky Horror Broadway Revival magazine. Kind of an odd choice I know, but pretty much the entire Broadway cast had signed it, so I figured I'd start having any Rocky celebrities I have the pleasure of meeting sign it too. They were both incredibly nice to talk too and Barry had in fact seen the Broadway revival so that was pretty cool. After a few fleeting moments my time was up so we went to get in line for the late show. They introduced the late show and then we had the pleasure of watching the Completely Crazy cast perform. These folks are amazing. Their dedication is incredible and their show was probably the most entertaining I had ever seen. It was especially nice to see some Rocky Horror fan legends like Ruth, Wally, Fred, and John Davy. It was a great show and I hope to go back and see them sometime soon.
Sunday morning we drove on into the city to see a few landmarks. We went to Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, Pizzeria Uno and Sweet Mandy B's. By the time we left we were both stuffed and exhausted. On the way home we stopped at White Castle for a snack and then finally made it back to KC.
It was a great trip and I'm so glad we are in Rocky season again. Can't wait till next weekend.
