It's been a day or two...

OK so this weekend is the last weekend for the show in Excelsior Springs...It's always sad saying goodbye to a show, but it is going to be a HUGE crowd this weekend and I know the show is going to be AMAZING!  So though it will be sad, we've had a great time with the group in Excelsior and I look forward to many more shows on their stage (and who knows?  Maybe eventually Rocky again!)

I've been working on transcribing the Patricia Quinn interview.  It is time consuming as the recording isn't terribly clear, but I've tackled about 1/3 of it.  So hopefully I'll get that posted for you soon.

As previously mentioned I have some prizes coming up for the Halloween Rocky season.  This week I got a little package in the mail for that.  I think you're going to love it!

What else?  Well updates will probably slow a bit since work is starting up in just a couple of weeks, but this is the busy time of year for Rocky so I'm sure there will be plenty to talk about.  I'll keep you updated the best I can, and hope to see you soon!

PS  Some really slick postcards came in this week for www.playitagainrocky.com if you make it out to the show in Excelsior be sure to pick one up!

PPS  We are right at 99 likes on the Facebook page.  Be sure to spread the word!

Monday's not so bad!

Ok so this is really just a catch all message...first don't forget to go see Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show in Excelsior Springs this weekend!  The show is a lot of fun and their Frank is incredibly talented.  I will be photographing a rehearsal this week so we should have some photos up ASAP, I can't wait!

Secondly, I'm still working on the Pat Quinn interview.  I think I have decided that transcribing it is the way to go and then I will post it.  This will take a little while as the interview is about an hour and a half.  So bear with me, it will be worth it!

Third...I'm working on some prizes to give away this Halloween Rocky season.  I got some Rocky related goodies from the Dragapella band Kinsey Sicks and I'm trying to pick up a few extra copies of Perry Bedden's new Rocky book.  It is amazing!

Also in a tweet this morning Bianca Del Rio told me that she will be playing Magenta in the Rocky Horror Show in San Antonio this October.  I know that Michelle Visage and Adore Delano are both going to be in this production too, it should be great!  We were lucky enough to see Sharon Needles in it in 2012.

OH and last but not least it looks as though Pat, Barry, and Nell will all be at the Days of The Dead con in Chicago in November!!! We will definitely be covering the event!

You're lucky! He's lucky! I'm lucky! WE'RE ALL LUCKY!!!

Well yesterday I had no idea that this was coming, but ask and ye shall receive.  I got a message this morning from the beautiful and talented and all around amazing Patricia Quinn.  I had inquired about doing an interview for the website and when I woke up this morning she had not only responded but had responded with "call me."  After I picked myself off the floor I did indeed call her and had one of the most fantastic phone conversations of my life.  I will need about a week to edit, but soon I will post the interview for you all to enjoy.

In other local news don't forget the show opens this Friday at the Slightly Off Broadway Theatre in Excelsior Springs Missouri!

WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? 2 Posts in one day?

Ok, so not only did I pretty up my blog but also have another bit of news.  In just a couple of hours I am going to a little sneak peak rehearsal for a production of Rocky that opens Friday.  I've been invited by my friend Cyndi to sit with her and yell some audience participation to get the cast used to it.  It is always exciting to see a show, but it is even more exciting to see a show before it opens.  On opening night it is very cool to see how far a show has come, and it would amaze people to see how much ground a show covers in just the last couple of rehearsals.  So yeah, I'm pretty excited.  Anyways, be sure to check out the show, information is below!

The show opens Friday the 11th of July and runs Friday/Saturday for 3 weekends.  Tickets are $15.50 and the show starts at 9.  Click on the link above to go to their official site and purchase your tickets.  See you there!

Hello old friend!

So I intended to use this to keep you informed of trips and our many adventures on various Rocky road trips...however, I am a lazy ass and didn't quite use it the way I had intended.  There are many road trips on the horizon and I am going to force myself to keep up with you here.  I know this format just makes sense for the on the road information...and that info might be useful for you if you're planning to see one of the shows we're visiting...or it might be useful if you are just a crazy Rocky fanatic like me and want to live vicariously through our journey.  Either way, sit back and relax, this won't hurt a bit.
